Mom Bullies

I never knew how many mom bullies were out there. Sure, I've run into a few in mom clubs and (I hate to say it) at church. But, when I volunteered to be homeroom mom and became exposed to 26 mothers in Emma's class, wowza! It has been challenging!!! It makes me feel even more sorry for the poor teachers who put up with mom bullies year after year. Just yesterday, I had a phone conversation with a mom from Emma's school and she became so belligerent, that I actually looked around me to see if I had slipped into the Twilight Zone. I am considering taking Tae Kwon Do this summer to prepare for next year. Ha!

  1. You're kidding! That's so scary! I had no idea what I have to look forward to. That other mom was probably just jealous of you for being more adorable than she :)

  2. You sweet girl! I would like to believe that was the case. When Max gets older just be prepared to relive high school all over again in adult form. Ha ha!

  3. I know exactly what you mean with this post. When I was teaching elementary school a mom came in and started yelling at me, waving her finger in my face and telling me that I was going to reverse my decision regarding disciplining her son. (I told him he couldn't be a part of a weekly assembly performance for one week because he said inappropriate things on the stage. One week! That was the whole punishment.) OH and she was about three feet taller than me. I had to calmly tell her that I wasn't afraid of her and that I would not change my mind. It was scary!!! (Because I actually was afraid of her! Ha!) She backed down. I couldn't believe an adult was acting that way, but I sure was proud of myself afterwards. :)
